Dog Boarding FAQ

What are your dog boarding vaccination requirements?
To keep our pet resort a safe and healthy place for all dogs, we require proof of vaccination for Bordetella (every 6 months), rabies, and distemper. If your pet needs the Bordetella vaccination, we can administer it here for a fee.
Does my dog need to be spayed/neutered?

Dogs aged 1 year or older are required to be spayed or neutered to participate in social play. We’re not able to accept females in, approaching, or just out of a heat cycle for the safety of all our guests.

What should I bring when I drop off my dog for boarding?
Please bring your pup’s food (bagged and labeled per serving), treats, and medications. As required by state law, medications must be in their original container with a prescription label.
When should I pick up my dog from boarding?

There is no time limit for when you can pick up your pup. Ready for them to come home? Stop on by!

Are reservations required for dog boarding?
Yes, we require reservations for all services. This is so we can staff appropriately for the expected number of guests, ensuring the safest possible environment. Please call us to make your reservation.

I’m nervous about boarding my pet. How do you keep the pets safe and healthy?
All of our staff members are specially trained to check on your furry family member multiple times daily to ensure they’re doing well and feeling loved, just like at home. Please talk to us about customizing the perfect stay for your pet when making your reservation.
I have multiple dogs - can they stay together?

Yes, dogs of the same family are welcome to stay together in our large accommodations for a discounted rate.

Can you accommodate special needs?
We’re able to accommodate pets with many kinds of special needs. Please call us to discuss how we can best accommodate your pet. We may consult with your pet’s veterinarian to determine if The BarnYard is the best place for your pet to stay.
Can you give medications to my pet?
Yes, we can administer most oral and topical medications, but we’re not able to administer injectables. Pets who take many or frequent medications benefit from the included unlimited medications in our TLC Package. Please bring all medications in original containers with written instructions.
